The Fifties and Sixties might be a thing of the past, but the pop and rock music that was so much a part of the American culture then remains popular today with people of all age groups.  And the band that has been synonymous with 50’s and 60’s music in Central Texas is THE MORTICIANS!
 
 The Morticians' songlist reads like a Who’s Who of that incredible era in music. With performances of songs by such great artists as the Beatles, Credence Clearwater Revival, Roy Orbison, the Kinks, Elvis Presley, the Eagles, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Linda Ronstadt, the Righteous Brothers, Van Morrison, Santana, Buddy Holly, the Rolling Stones, as well as many other "One-Hit Wonder" groups, it's hard to sit still when The Morticians take the stage!!!
  
The group has been a  favorite through the years at Waco's Summer  Sounds concerts, and more recently at the Bosque River Stage Summer Series concerts. The Morticians have been voted the Central Texas Area's Best Band numerous times in the Waco Tribune Herald's Annual Reader's Poll, and have been named to the prestigious Hall of Recognition by the Music Association of Central Texas!
